SERIE A’S INTER AND GENOA REACH 2010-11 DEAL ON RANOCCHIA

Inter has just closed a joint-ownership deal with Genoa concerning player Andrea Ranocchia. The 22-year-old defender from Bastia Umbra started off his professional career at Perugia, before moving on to play at Arezzo (making his second division, Serie B, debut at the age of 18), and subsequently making his Serie A debut at Bari. Ranocchia has been fielded in all of Italy’s junior national squads, making his under-21 debut aged 19. Ranocchia signs on at Inter on a 5-year contract (expiring June 30th, 2015). Inter and Genoa have agreed to have Ranocchia play the 2010-11 season at Genoa
