AFGHANISTAN: 1,074 CIVILIANS KILLED IN SIX MONTHS
1,074 civilians died in Afghanistan in the first half of the year, of who 210 were killed by mistake by ISAF forces. The number of injuries amount to 1,500. The figures were disclosed by the independent organization Afghanistan Rights Monitor (ARM), according to which the Talebans have killed 661 civilians, 282 of who in the explosion of bombs and 127 in suicide bombings. The international forces have mistakenly killed 210 civilians, a lower number compared to last year’s consequently to the restrictions imposed on bombings. Instead, the number of innocent victims mistakenly killed by the Afghan forces amounts to 108 while the privately engaged security forces have killed another 108.
