BASEBALL: MURDOCH IS INTERESTED IN THE TEXAS RANGERS

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp is interested in purchasing the Texas Rangers baseball team. The media giant still has to make up its mind on whether or not to launch the public offering for the bankrupt team. The news was reported by the New York Post. The starting price for the offer is 307 million Dollars but it will probably be necessary to put up another 100 million in order to win the bid. It is not known if News Corp is making the bid on its own or in an alliance.
