BULGARIAN GOVERNMENT ESTIMATES 3% RISE IN GDP FOR 2011

Bulgaria’s Finance Minister Simeon Djankov is expecting a 3% rise in GDP in 2011 and a deficit of 2,5% of GDP. Djankov also predicts an inflation rate of 1.8% for next year. After a 5% contraction in 2009 the Bulgarian economy recorded a fall of 3.6% in Q1 of this year, but the government thinks that the year as a whole will see a growth rate of 0.3%.
