COSSIGA: NAPOLITANO, HOMAGE TO FRIEND AND GREAT STATESMAN

Napolitano has visited Cossiga at his lying in state, paying homage to a friend and a great statesman. The President of the Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, went to the Gemelli Hospital this morning, where the former President’s body is on view. The Senate Speaker, Renato Schifani, the Chamber Speaker, Gianfranco Fini, former President of the Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, and the UnderSecretary to the Council of Ministers, Gianni Letta, have all been to the hospital.
