CRISIS: BIS SAYS INTERNATIONAL BANK LOANS ARE ON THE UP

For the first time since the crisis began, international bank loans are on the rise, according to the BIS. The Bank for International Settlements says that international banking activity rose 2% to 645 billion dollars during the first quarter of 2010, against a 397 billion dollar contraction during the final quarter of 2009.
