The moderate consumption of dark chocolate protects women from heart attacks. The research, published in the magazine of the American Heart Association, involved 32 thousand Swedish women aged from 48 to 83 over a period of nine years with questionnaires about their consumption of this form of chocolate. The result was that a dose of between 19 and 32 grams twice a week reduces the risk of heart attack by 32%, or by 26% if the same quantity is consumed over a period of one month.
