IMMIGRANTS: RIOTS AT BARI’S SHELTER, 6 FOREIGNERS FLEE

Six foreign nationals have escaped from Bari’s CIE shelter during a violent protest burst out during the night. During the revolt, 2 Carabinieri and 2 Army soldiers were injured. According to a first report, roughly thirty immigrants devastated three prefabricated accommodations in the shelter, while attempting to organize a mass escape. The situation is now back under control although most of the accommodations have been destroyed.
