IRAQ: OBAMA CONFERMS WITHDRAWAL OF MOST TROUPS IN AUGUST
The USA will withdraw most of its troups from Iraq by August 31st, 50,000 will remain until the end of 2011. The remaining troups will, however, carry out only duties of “training and support” for the Iraqi military. Barack Obama made the announcement at 5:30 pm yesterday in Atlanta, Georgia while speaking to veterans.
