JAPANESE TANKER HIT BY FREAK WAVE IN STRAIT OF HORMUZ

It wasn’t an explosion but a giant freak wave that damaged a Japanese supertanker in the Strait of Hormuz. Airport authorities in the United Arab Emirates say that the crew reported a giant wave. The supertanker, which suffered some damage to the upper deck, is expected to arrive at the port of Fujairah (UAE) within a few hours where it will undergo standard checks before resuming its voyage to Japan.
