M.E.: LEBANESE SENTENCED TO DEATH AS “SPY OF ISRAEL”

A Lebanese military tribunal passed a death sentence on a man accused of being a spy of Israel. Another man was sentenced to 20 years in prison under the same charges. The news is reported by the newspaper “L’Orient-le Jour”. Georges Habib Hadad was inflicted the death penalty for having transmitted confidential information on political personalities in Lebanon to the Israeli intelligence. Instead Ziad JalilSaadi, a collaborator of Hadad, was inflicted a 20-year sentence.
