MEDVEDEV SACKS SENIOR OFFICERS OVER WILDFIRE FAILURES
Dmitry Medvedev has sacked some senior officers over failures to coordinate efforts to stop recent wildfires. The Russian president interrupted his summer holidays in the southern resort of Sochi, in the Black Sea, and travelled back to Moscow to chair an emergency meeting.
