Ignacio “Nacho” Coronel, the Mexican drug boss, has been killed by the Army in Guadalajara. In order to capture Coronel, the king of metamphetamine trafficking and lieutenant of Joaquin “Shorty” Guzman, the number one of the Sinaloa cartel and of the whole drug trafficking network, the Army put in place an impressive man-hunt which ended with a shootout betwen Coronel and the soldiers at the height of dramatic tension. “Nacho”, the army soldiers reported, “died holding a gun in his hand a few seconds after having answered to the gunfire”.
The U.S. authorities had offered 5 million Dollars to anyone providing information that might be useful to capture Coronel who smuggled tons of drugs through the border with Mexico. In the meantime, there is no end to the war between clans which in fact tkes force from the need to fill in the void of power caused by the disappearance of a boss. Fifteen bodies have been found in the North of Mexico, along the road leading to Ciudad Victoria and Matamoros, on the border with Texas. They were blindfolded and their hands were tied and and their bodies showed evident signs of torture.
