REVOLT AT IMMIGRANT DETENTION CENTRE IN MILAN

A revolt broke out last night at an immigrant identification and expulsion centre in Milan. Eleven people were injured and one Algerian managed to escape. Eighteen immigrants smashed windows and tried to flee after having climbed onto the roof. Police arrived and six officers suffered light injuries. Five North Africans were hurt, three seriously, who were taken to hospital with leg injuries. .
