U.S.: 2-YEAR FUGITIVE “BAREFOOT BANDIT” CAUGHT IN BAHAMAS
A 19-year-old known as the “Barefoot Bandit”, a fugitive for 2 years, was caught yesterday in the Bahamas. He was arrested after a high-speed boat chase. Colton Harris-Moore had become a fugitive after a 3-year imprisonment sentence for a number of robberies in the Washington area, Nebraska and Oregon. Investigators say he had gone to the Bahamas on a small plane stolen at an airport. He was dubbed the “Barefoot Bandit” as he entered into action for his robberies barefoot. The youth is on Facebook with a profile and many fans.
