U.S. ARMY REPORT SAYS STRESS IS SOLDIERS’ GREATEST ENEMY
Stress is the American soldier’s most dangerous enemy, according to a report by the US Army. The number of soldiers committing suicide has been rising since 2004, and in 2008 more soldiers killed themselves than civilians and one third of soldiers used some form of prescription drug.
There has been an increase in criminality with each year 5,000 more crimes registered than the year before. According to estimates contained in the report, by the end of 2010 at least 55,000 soldiers will have committed one crime.
