UK MAN MOVES EYES TO HALT LIFE-SUPPORT SWITCHOFF
A paralysed man has managed to stop doctors who were about to turn off his life-support machine by moving his eyes. Events took place nine months ago in the neurological ward at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. The family had agreed to the machine being switched off on the basis of the fact that the man had previously expressed a wish never to be simply kept alive by a machine.
