USA: APPEAL COURT STRIKES INDECENCY RULE ON TV

TV decency norms, adopted in 2004 under the Bush administration, have been voided. The New York Appeal Court has annulled them as contrary to the First Amendment. They were imposed in order to avoid episodes such as Janet Jackson’s breast exhibition during the Super Bowl or the vulgar expressions uttered during some shows.
