The United States will sent their National Guard troops to the US-Mexican border in August to tighten security in the area and stem illegal immigration and drug and arms trafficking. The troops will be supported by over 300 officers from the Consumer and Border Protection services. Most of the troops – 524 out of a total of 1,300 – will go to Arizona.
