MIT researchers have developed a futuristic fabric which records and reproduces sounds. ‘Nature Materials’ points out that the innovation allows for clothes to be used as microphones to monitor body functions. Small filaments can measure blood pressure in capillaries and in the brain. The new fiber does not listen only. If plugged in, it can generate sound . It is a magic due to the material’s fibers which are made of a kind of plastic similar to the one used to manufacture microphones.
