USA: NOAA CUTS ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON FORECAST

The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has cut its forecast for the 2010 hurricane season. The agency said it now expects 14 to 20 tropical storms, 8 to 12 of which could develop into hurricanes. It also forecast that 4 to 6 of these would become major hurricanes.
