WHITE HOUSE SAYS US ECONOMY IS ‘SOLID’

The White House has attempted to sound reassuring and has guaranteed that the US economy is growing ‘solidly’. The information was provided by the White House economic advisor Christina Romer, after US data showed a slow down for the second quarter with the GDP rising by 2.4%, less than the expected 2.5% and far less that the +3.7% in the first quarter .
