WORLD CUP: CLANDESTINE BOOKIES, 5000 ARRESTS IN ASIA

A mega-operation was performed by the Interpol against clandestine bookies for bets taken on the World Cup in Asia. 5000 people were arrested in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. The police forces, coordinated by the Interpol, discovered 800 “hideouts” of the organization and retrieved over 155 million dollars in cash from bets.
