NTERNET: YOUTUBE TO PAY MUSIC STREAMING RIGHTS TO SIAE

SIAE and YouTube have signed a music licencing agreement on online streaming videos in Italy. The licence will run until 31/12/2012. Under the terms of the agreement the authors, composers and editors represented by SIAE will be paid a fee every time their music is played. When questioned, the SIAE stressed that rights payments will not be levied on internet navigators who have the benefit of the music.
