AUSTRIA: STYRIA, SOCIALDEMOCRATS FIRST, FAR RIGHT TRIUMPHS
Austrian Socialdemocrats are first by a narrow margin in Styria, and the far right (FPO) got about 11% of the votes. The incumbent governor Franz Voves has been confirmed, but only with 38,43% of the votes (vs. 41,67% in 2005), and the Conservative Party OVP has reached 37 percent.
