CGIL, STRIKE SHOWS THAT COUNTRY WILL NOT GIVE UP

One million people reportedly joined a general strike called by union Cgil in protest at the budget decree.

Cgil deputy secretary Susanna Camusso, said that the success of the strike proves that the “country will not give up”.

“The government should reflect on the massive support for this general strike. The belief that this budget measure will offer no future prospects is growing” Camusso said. “It’s been a remarkable day. The people’s response has been great” she added.
