FARMERS PROTEST AT ITALIAN-AUSTRIAN BORDER

Thousands of Coldiretti farmers have flooded to the Italian-Austrian border in order to protect their local goods. Three different police forces stood watch as they checked trucks in transit to determine what goods are being transported and where they end up, in order to protect characteristic local commodities. They held up placards asking passing drivers to stand up for the cause of the compulsory labeling of foodstuffs.
