MALAYSIA: 2 MUSLIMS SENTENCED TO 5 YRS FOR BURNING CHURCH
In Malaysia, two brothers have been sentenced to 5 years of prison for having burnt down a church. The two set fire to a church in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur in a period of multi-ethnic tensions in the Country, after a judge authorized a Catholic newspaper to call the Christian God “Allah” in its Malaysian language editions. During those same days, a dozen acts of vandalism were committed against churches and mosques.
