ME.: EU COMMISSIONER ACCUSED OF ANTI-SEMITIC REMARKS

The EU Trade Commissioner is being accused of making anti-Semitic remarks during a radio interview. Speaking of the Middle East peace process that began a few days ago in Washington, Karel De Gucht, who is not immune to this sort of gaffe, said that he was sceptical about the chances of the new direct talks succeeding, commenting in particular that “the Jewish lobby at the Capitol should not be undervalued”.
