Julia Mayr has passed the first round of the 75,000 Dollar Shrewsbury Tournament in Great Britain. The Italian tennis player defeated the British wild card Anna Fitzpatrick by 6-2, 7-6(8) and will now have to face the Croatian Ana Vrljic. Instead, there is no more hope for fifth seed Corinna Dentoni, who was beaten by 6-4, 6-2 by the Luxembourgian Anne Kremer. .
