Uganda announced that it does not intend to withdraw its troops from Somalia after the two bombings in Kampala. “These are cowards but in Uganda we are not coward and our military will not leave Mogadishu”, said the Deputy Foreign Minister Okello Oryem. Noone has claimed responsibility for the two bombs, which caused 64 dead and 65 injured, although suspicions are focused on Shebab, the Somalian fundamentalist militia close to Al Qaeda, which has already threatened both Uganda and Burundi for sending troops to Somalia in the past.
