During the last two years, films and TV shows about vampires earned some 7 billion dollars. According to the Hollywood Reporter, movies alone contributed 3 billion dollars. Since 2008, the “Twilight” saga sold 1,76 billion dollars at the box office. Books on the subject generated 1,6 billion. TV films and related DVD contributed 1.2 billion, while the merchandising added 600 million more.
