David Cameron hopes that tensions with the United States over BP will soon turn into a “sensible dialogue”.

On the very day BP’s CEO Tony Hayward made his first appearance before the U.S. Congress, the British prime minister said that he wanted to “see us deal with these problems and issues. I think the right way to do that is through sensible dialogue and talking about these things as President Obama and I did in a phone call last Saturday” .
