JOBS: UNEMPLOYMENT RISES TO 8.5% IN Q2, HIGHEST SINCE 2003
ISTAT reports that unemployment rose to 8,5% in Q2, the highest level since 2003. National Statistics Institute figures show a 0.1% rise over the first three months of the year and 1% increase over the same period last year. The number of people looking for work came to 2,136,000, a 1.1% rise over Q1.
