BERLUSCONI, IF GOVT FALLS, TREMONTI IN FAVOR OF ELECTIONS

PM Berlusconi has said that Tremonti is also in favor of early elections if the government should fall. Berlusconi excluded the possibility of a transitional government. At a dinner yesterday with PDL representatives, the Prime Minister revealed having met with the Treasury Minister who has excluded absolutely the possibility of his heading a transitional government. According to sources, Berlusconi said repeatedly, “Tremonti is also for early elections and, in any case, there will be no transitional government.”
