ALGERIA: FIRST UNDERGROUND LINE COMPLETED IN ALGIERS

Work on the first underground line in Algiers is now complete, said Transport Minister, Amar Tou. Mr Tou stressed that before the line could become operational, however, “a few safety details” required some attention. The underground service was first thought up in the early 1980s, and the line has cost the equivalent of over 935 million euros.
