MYSTERY OF ATTACK ON AHMADINEJAD, DENIED BY TEHRAN

The Iranian government has denied that Ahmadinejad had been attacked, but other sources have confirmed it. Press TV, an official English language channel, quoted a source close to the president’s office who denied the attack. Another source told France Presse that the grenade thrown at the president’s motorcade was in reality a ‘firework’. Earlier presidential sources had confirmed the attack to al Arabiya and Reuters.
