SOUTH AFRICA: GENDER EQUALITY IN EDUCATION ON THE WAY
By 2015 South Africa will have achieved gender equality in access to education, says its Minister for Education. Angie Motshekga, with data in hand, stressed that girls are enrolling in primary schools not just in Africa but also in Southern Asia and the Middle East, at twice the rate of boys of the same age.
