USA: GRIM FORECASTS FOR BABY BOOMERS’ PENSIONS
Americans might find it increasingly difficult to afford the base payments when the time comes to retire. This is the outcome of the study conducted by the Employee Benefit Research Institute on the so-called “baby boomers”. More than 40% of the lower bracket income-earners seems destined to see their savings shrink during the first 10 years after they exit the labor market. The percentage rises to 60% in the subsequent 10 years.
