GARBAGE: NIGHT OF UNREST IN TERZIGNO, POLICE INTERVENE

A night of guerrilla warfare in Terzigno, after the opening of a 2nd landfill in the Vitiello quarry was announced. Around midnight, Police was stoned by protesters on via Panoramica. At 1:20 AM, in the same locality, Police were hit by more stones and debris. A charge dispersed the protesters, but nor before some physical confrontations, and the arson of an agent’s car, a Fiat Punto. Two people were identified and then released. 31 trash compactors had been delivered to the quarry at 6:30.
