An interim government set up against the wishes of the Northern League would be “impossible” said Umberto Bossi. Talking to the press, Bossi reiterated the Northern Leagues’ Position as the party wanting an election, and saying “no, to any interim government that would be considered impossible and “against me and Berlusconi”. “They will be unable to form an interim government against myself and Berlusconi and the millions of people who support us. They would not have the courage to form an interim government going against the country.” According to Senator Bossi, “both the Left and Fini and his followers are terrified of holding an election.”
